Sandy is a very good girl who is so easy to live with.  While she is part beagle, she will bark to go outside to do her business but otherwise rarely makes a sound.

At almost 12 years young, she is laid back and doesn’t require a lot of exercise.  She will sometimes take her time outside to sniff around but mostly she likes to relax and take naps in the house.  She was crate trained but she doesn’t really need it as she hasn’t gotten into anything that she shouldn’t — she is past the chewing and destruction stage of young dogs.

Her previous owners had no complaints about her but were forced to give her up due to uncontrollable allergies to dogs.  While everyone was a little worried how Sandy would handle a move, she adjusted without a bit of problems and made herself right at home.

She was use to a fenced yard and going for walks.  In fact, when you get a leash, she is all excited to either go for a ride or a walk.  She is a pleasant and great fur-companion.  She gets along fine with other dogs and did live with another one for years but she would also be happy being an only dog.  She has not met cats but has lived with children.  We can’t imagine she would have a problem with cats because she is so  mellow but a trial adoption can be arranged if you have felines.

Every other day she takes 2 pills.  One is for allergies and one is for incontinence.  She has been on them for a few years so is just on a minimal dose to keep both problems in check.

Sandy is fostered in Holland, MI.
