Yes, his name fits him although he has grown up a little and is not quite as mischievous as he was at first. He is still pretty active and either needs a human who will spend time playing with him or else another dog who loves to play chase and “steal the toy”.
When meeting new people, he is nervous but is easily persuaded he is not going to get hurt if offered treats. He is sensitive so a loud environment is going to make him really nervous.
His first time at an adoption event, he took a little while to feel safe but he finally started taking treats and then decided to take a nap.
I guess a small bed is better than a hard floor.
Pistol loves other dogs but if they growl at him or give him a warning bark, he runs away.
Originally he was crate trained but he is house trained now and as long as he has toys, he has been very good left loose in the house gated in the Kitchen away from outside windows that he can see out of. He would probably get overexcited if he could see activity outside that he couldn’t join in. However, he sometimes goes in an open crate when the humans in the home get ready to leave.
He has never met a cat so we do not know how he would be with them.
