Penelope is the cutest Pomeranian mix you'll ever meet. She was rescued as part of a large puppy mill closure. Penelope is quite shy, but she will let you pick her up and hold her. She loves having her tummy rubbed and ears scratched. She gets along fine with all the other dogs living here.
Penelope has been diagnosed with dry eyes, so she needs eye drops put in her eyes every other day to keep them from becoming uncomfortable.
We are working with Penelope on house training and she does well as long as she goes out regularly. She has started to figure out how to say she needs to go outside, but will need a family willing to continue working with Penelope on house training. Her foster home has a fenced yard that she enjoys, and Penelope doesn't have much experience walking on leash, so a physically fenced yard is recommended for her new home.
Because of Penelope's shyness, she is not recommended for a home with children or with lots of activity.
