Oreo was brought here from a bad situation along with her six puppies (the Nut Puppies). She is very skinny, so needs to gain a few pounds. She is just the sweetest girl and loves affection and attention. She thinks she is a lap dog and will keep you nice and warm. Although she needs some more house manners, she is smart and treat motivated. Oreo loves to play with you or with toys, but won’t bug you to play. Her favorite thing is to be chased with a toy, while you say ” I’m gonna get it “. She still picks up inappropriate items and gets into waste baskets if she can. But she will give up something she isn’t supposed to have, if you offer her another toy or treat. She is good with other dogs as far as we have seen, but we only have smaller dogs. She should be comfortable with children, since you can touch any part of her without a problem and she loves to be hugged. Oreo has a very loud bark for her size, and will bark at dogs or people going by the house, so probably shouldn’t live in an apartment. She would make an excellent family dog!
