Missy is a 5 year old female spayed Old English Sheepdog who weighs about 50 pounds. She would be a great companion to any one who wants a quiet dog that loves to go for walks, go for rides in the car and sit and watch TV with you on the couch.
Missy loves being petted and hugged. She gets along with all dogs and will play with other dogs her size. She is shy around people she doesn’t know but will go up to them to get petted once she knows them. She startles at sounds, mostly outside, so will need a fenced in yard. She does fine with young children coming up to pet her but they need to understand she is shy.
She is crate trained and house trained — as long as she is let out regularly because she doesn’t give any signals that she needs to go outside to potty. She does great with a doggie door, though.
Sometimes she is humorous as she will carry toys around and likes to bring them all to her crate.
Missy has learned a lot from watching and following other dogs that have a “usual” doggie personality so she would do best in a home with at least one other dog.
