161-23 Ledgie: Hi my name is Ledgie, I’m a 6 month old hound/shepherd mix puppy looking for my new family. I’m a nice boy but can sometimes be on the shy side. I may bark when someone I don’t know comes up to me outside but I warm up quickly, especially if they have some tasty treats. Sometimes I can be a little mouthy (non-harmful play biting) when I get excited. Foster mom thinks I could go to a house with kids age 6 or up but the adults should keep an eye on me to supervise until I learn to be gentle. I have not been around cats before, if it’s a brave cat used to dogs I could go to your house and meet them to see if we’d get along. I would love another dog to play with, I like to chase my sister around and wrestle with her.
I could grow up to be a good size (55-80lbs?). I will likely have moderate to high exercise needs. Im still potty training but making good progress. I’m not old enough to hold it a full work day quite yet so my foster family usually lets me out at lunch. I am crate trained. I sometimes howl when something spooks me, so I wouldn’t be a good fit to live by close neighbors like at an apartment or condo.
I love playing and wrestling with my sister. I like it when we play ball in the yard. I like my chew toys a lot. I just learned that it’s fun to stick my head out the car window. Foster mom thinks I’ll like swimming once I get the hang of it. I know a few simple commands, and could learn more if my new family will teach me. I can catch treats in my mouth pretty good too!
I am neutered and microchipped, up to date on core vaccinations, and have a clean bill of health. I’d love it if I could be your new buddy!
