Hi! I’m Kissy!
I was Kitty, but foster mom says that there’s real kitties here so I can’t be Kitty! So she calls me Kissy Kitty Dog! I like my fancy name, it sounds almost the same.

I had a daddy before but he couldn’t care for me and my siblings anymore so they brought me to this lady to stay until someone else wants to love me forever and ever. I’ve been told a lot of little dogs aren’t crazy about men, but OH MY GOSH…they’re my favorite! I mean, yeah, foster mom feeds me and snuggles me and teaches me things, but foster daddy is my favorite! He snuggles me, and I love to be wherever he is! If he goes outside without me, I search for him, and oh, my gosh, when he actually leaves me outside with foster mom, I don’t like that! I go to the door and bark at him to open the door for me! I don’t want to “hang out” with foster mom and her obnoxious dogs! I just want my daddy! I LOVE to sleep next to him in bed too! Sometimes under the covers, but sometimes I get warm and don’t want to be under the covers.

These other dogs here are all bigger than me, and they aren’t really my friends. I don’t mind them much, I will share a lap with a cat or dog but only if they make me! I only growl if they step on me or try to snuggle me. We aren’t that close! And oh those actual cats, gosh, they want to snuggle too! I wont bite them or anything, but  it’s annoying!

Foster mom says I’m a good girl in my crate but I’m not allowed to bark when I’m in it. Whatever lady, I will bark! I’m searching for my daddy! But I get soooo excited when they let me out of my crate, I get so excited that they’re home again! Foster mom says that makes me not a very good apartment dog, because no one wants to listen to me barking.

I am doing pretty well on potty training, but you have to remember to take me out regularly or I may have accidents for a while. Oh, and I HATE leashes! HATE THEM! Even harnesses are annoying. I don’t like people putting me on a string and telling me what direction to go! Foster mom says I’m doing well on practicing, but in reality I just follow, most of the time. I also don’t run away.   I really am not interested in this “COME” word either. I just want to wander around and sniff things until I’m ready to be done. Then I will come back to you- super fast!

I refuse to tell foster mom why, but I also have some strange quirks, it took me a long long long time to even let her touch my collar! And my ears and my tail! I’m not telling why! that’s my secret, but gosh, it was so scary when they would touch those places, I’m getting more patient, but at first I would just scream! They tell me not to scream that that it is OK if they touch me, but gosh, what if they pulled on me?! That would be so scary! I’m just afraid they’ll hurt me, but foster mom says that she loves touching soft doggy ears, so I’m TRYING to be patient and let her.  Sometimes its OK, it doesn’t hurt, but I’m nervous it might!

Oh – and while some little dogs aren’t social, I kind-of am. As long as we can take it slow. I am leery of new people and it takes me a while to warm up to them. I like it best if they just sit on the couch and let me come to them instead of pestering me. One time Grandma had to babysit me and the other animals here, and she had the grand kids up, and OH MY GOSH IT WAS SOO SCARY!!! I didn’t let ANYONE pet me! But the other day they came up again, and because foster mom was there, I let them sit on the floor and then I let them pet me. Kids can be super scary! I do NOT like that little one who they say “he’s only 3!” Well, three or not, he chases me and he’s loud! I like the bigger kids who are quieter and slower, but only if they sit on the floor! Don’t stand there and call me…cause I will not come to you, NO WAY!

Overall foster mom says I’m a very good little dog and I’m going to make someone very happy! I will just gladly hang out here and wait for that person to find me! I’m waiting 🙂
