Hudson is a glass-half-full kinda guy! He is a very energetic and active boy that loves to play and keep busy! Hudson’s favorite activities include playing with other active dogs, zoomies in the yard, playing with toys, going for car rides, and barking at squirrels.

He also loves attention and being with his people! Belly rubs and giving kisses are his favorite. When the day is done, he loves to snuggle on the couch and will sleep quietly at the foot of the bed.

Hudson is very smart, eager to please, and loves to learn! He knows how to sit, lay down, roll over, spin, and shake! He can even open doors that have flat handles! Hudson is also crate trained and housetrained on a regular schedule.

Hudson can be reactive, meaning that he often overreacts to certain situations and stimuli. Hudson will often bark and lunge when seeing new people and animals. Although Hudson generally warms up quickly to new people and other social dogs (when introduced properly at a pace he’s comfortable with), he will need a family that is willing to help him navigate stressful situations and continue his behavior modification and management plan. Once you’re a friend of Hudson, you’re a friend for life – he has many human and canine friends!

Hudson is looking for a patient family that will help him continue his journey to be the best boy! Hudson would thrive with a secure fenced yard and another playful canine companion! Hudson is not safe around cats or pocket pets (and will happily chase away any birds, rabbits, and squirrels that may try to visit your yard).

Hudson has been bounced around between homes most of his young life, and he can’t wait to find his forever family! His foster family is willing to contribute up to $250 to continue his training after adoption with a force-free/non-aversive trainer comfortable with reactivity (will provide recommendations based on location of adopter).
