This little girl is fun fun fun! She is a happy happy dog who likes to be with her person
every minute of the day – and night. Her theme song is “Hopelessly Devoted to You!”
She can be blissfully happy sitting in your lap all day, but she’s athletic enough to enjoy
agility or flyball, maybe even weight pulling. She’s very attentive and responsive, listens
to every word her person says, and is very good about coming when called. And she
plays lap fetch! Toss the toy, and she brings it back and jumps up into your lap with it.

Bella does not need a yard. She prefers to go out on a leash with her person. Walks are
her very favorite thing, and she is always ready to go. Her leash manners are pretty
good too. In her foster home, she has made huge progress on house training, but does
still have some accidents. A consistent schedule helps a lot. She is crate trained, and
especially likes to eat in her crate, but she definitely wants to sleep in bed with her
person. She is an awesome little snuggler and a nice quiet sleeper. Cold feet in winter?
Not with Bella on the job!

Bella is quite fearless and takes everything in stride. Pills, baths, nail trims, ear cleaning,
vet visits – no problem for Bella! That tail just keeps on wagging. She is not a picky
eater at all – happy to scarf whatever is in her bowl. She is also eager to gobble up
anything you leave on the table as soon as your back is turned, so be sure to clear off
and push the chairs in! Bella does not really enjoy welcoming visitors, and will bark at
new people until she decides they are OK. She definitely needs to be leashed or crated
when unfamiliar people arrive; chihuahuas are very protective, and will try to
snap/bite at strangers. She is a very alert watchdog, and will respond to every noise, so even
though she doesn’t need a lot of space, she is not a candidate for apartment living.

Bella is ok with other dogs, and is not aggressive towards cats, although she does
sometimes like to chase them. She needs some time to warm up to other animals, and
may be snarky with them at first, especially if they insist on sharing her favorite lap.
Cute-as-a bug-Bella came into foster care after her person passed away. A relative took
her in and discovered that Bella is not good with children. Now she is looking for a new
person to love, cuddle, and entertain for many happy years to come. If your home
needs an infusion of joy and cuteness, this little sweetheart could be the dog for you.
