BeBe (AKA Black Beauty)

Hi there, I’m BeBe! 

I’m a 6-year-old black beauty with a heart full of love and a whole lot of cuddles to give. Life hasn’t always been kind to me—my former family left me behind and I found myself at the River Rouge Animal Shelter. But I haven’t let that dim my spirit. I’m now in a loving foster home with my amazing Foster Mommy and a pack of furry friends getting lots of love and dreaming about the forever family I just know is out there for me.

I live with three foster siblings: a wise and gentle 17 ½-year-old Beagle and two fun-loving 5-year-old Staffy/Pittie mixes—and I love them! We all get along great, and they’ve helped me settle in and feel at home. I’d be so happy to join a family with other dogs to play and snuggle with!

I’m a bigger girl at about 72 pounds, but don’t let that fool you—I’m as gentle and sweet as they come. I’m a laid-back lady who loves to chill by the fireplace, soak up the sun on the deck, and gnaw on my favorite Nylabones. But I’ve also got a playful side and enjoy a good romp around the yard!

I get along great with other dogs—doggy friends are totally my thing. Cats? Eh, probably not for me. And since I’m a bit of a solid gal, I’d do best in a home with kids around 8 and up, just so I don’t accidentally knock over any tiny humans with my big ol’ wiggles.

I’m potty trained (yep, I’ll let you know when it’s time to go out!) and I’ve got this whole “easygoing companion” thing down to a science. I’m just looking for a home where I’ll be loved, cherished, and never left behind again.
