Bilateral Entropian Surgery

Breed: Standard Poodle
DOB: 2-6-2002
Sex: Neutered male
Foster home: Sharon

Sometimes I bump into things – but I don’t really mind because I just back up and try to walk a different way. And if it isn’t too dark in the house or outside, I can see pretty good and I can pretty much avoid running into other objects. Even though my eyesight is very limited, I am a happy and friendly boy who loves to hear people talk to me and who loves even more when people pet me! I have cataracts but that wasn’t my only problem. I had bilateral entropian on both of my lower lids. Every day someone had to clean up my face from all the tears that keep coming out of my eyes from the hair on the lower lids irritating my corneas. The little bit of sight I have was getting worse because of all that injury to my corneas. But there is surgery to fix that and I had it done! My surgery went great, my healing was quick and easy and now the stitches are out and I am ready for adoption. If you don’t really have room for another dog, that’s okay because my adoption fee isn’t going to cover all my medical bills so you are welcome to send in a donation to help me get that operation paid for.

If you are interested in adopting me, you will be pleased to know that I am good with kids and cats. I am also good with dogs except little ones that are about 10 pounds or smaller. In addition, I love my crate and I am housebroke. When I go outside, I will play with the other dogs but I am not high energy and don’t require a lot of exercise. I am a little underweight because I was picky about what food I would eat at first but I am doing better – I have gained at least 4 pounds since having my surgery!
