Heartworm treatment

Breed: German Shorthaired Pointer
DOB: 2004
Sex: Spayed female
Weight: 62 pounds

005-14

My previous owner wasn’t healthy enough to take me hunting any longer. It was probably a very good thing for me because I have heartworms in my heart! It is going to cost quite a bit of money for my treatment so I would love it if you could help and send any amount you can afford.

I’m not sad though that I don’t go hunting any longer. Living in a house is pretty nice and I love all the company of the other dogs and all the attention I get from humans.

I have been a really good girl so my foster people don’t crate me. I like to nap on a doggie bed in the kitchen. My foster mom told me that according to the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America, I am suppose to be bold, boisterous, cooperative, intelligent, affectionate and trainable and my breed was developed as a dog that was intended to be a family companion and good with children. The boisterous thing isn’t me though. I must have grown up because I am pretty calm and easy-going.

If my treatment goes according to plan, I should be available for adoption by the end of March. Check back for updates around then if you are interested in adopting me.

E-mail tzupoomom@gmail.com if you have any questions.

UPDATE: Bailey has completed her heartworm treatment and is doing great! She did somehow end up with a very bad bladder infection and is getting treated for that but otherwise her blood chemistry values look great so she does not have any damage to her kidneys. She has also gained a bit of pep more like a typical GSP.

Apply for Bailey today if you think you would like to adopt her!
