ADOPTED!

Breed: Long-haired chihuahua
DOB: 2016
Sex: Neutered male
Weight:
10 pounds
Foster home: Julie
357-19

Sometimes I act really timid in new situations but as I get comfortable, I become a little more bold.  This leash thing is very new to me and even when I wear a harness, I am not sure I want to follow you.  Often I just lay down and then maybe crawl a little ways but then again, I start feeling a little more confident and will walk for a few steps with you.

I get along just great with other dogs and like to play with doggie toys.  I go outside into a fenced yard and do my business.  If you don’t have a fenced yard, I think it will take me a while to go potty outside on a leash so I will have accidents in the house for a while.

Since I was a unclaimed stray in a shelter, there isn’t any information on whether or not I get along with cats or really small children.  When I meet children at the adoption events, I am just as shy with them as I am with adults but I am not more scared of them.

I was in a lot of pain when I came to the shelter but I had surgery and am all healed up and ready for adoption.  You can read about my surgery at https://apbdogs.org/ponch-extensive-care/
