Foster home: Julie

We aren’t positive Lizbeth is a yorkie/schnauzer mix but we think that is pretty good guess based on her looks.

She could hardly walk when she first came to us because she weighed over 12 pounds and also has a luxating patella.  She has already started to lose some of those rolls of fat and has been much more active, even running a little at times.  She has even been able to go up and down 3 steps.

Even though she is not a young gal, the report from her vet visit was very good although she did lose quite a few teeth.  But since she probably never stopped eating very long at her previous home, that could be part of her dental problems.

Lizbeth has met some cats and did fine with them.  She does great with dogs of all ages and sizes and she even liked getting attention from young children at the adoption event.  She is crate trained (although she doesn’t really need it) and is housetrained.  We are working on teaching her to walk on a leash but she has always had a fenced yard and has not had a lot of experience with it.

If you can help her keep her weight down, you would be a great home for her!
