Pepsi is a 5 year old Terrier mix looking for a special forever home. Pepsi has been in foster care for several months and is now ready for adoption. Pepsi has been recovering from both physical and emotional issues. We believe Pepsi may have an allergy to fleas, she ended up losing most of her hair.  The shelter took a picture of her when she came in:

She no longer has any fleas and her hair has filled in nicely. As far as emotional issues, Pepsi is still working on these. We do not have any previous history on Pepsi. All we know is that she is very skittish and takes a long time to trust her human caretakers. For that reason a home with small children would not be appropriate. When Pepsi feels threatened she will snap and if able, will run and hide. So, we are looking for a quiet home where someone with a lot of time and patience will continue to work with Pepsi. She most likely will bond with only one or two people. Once she earns your trust, she is a happy, spunky little girl.

It has been wonderful to see Pepsi blossom into a happy, playful little girl. She obviously feels better physically and now that she feels safe in her environment feels comfortable approaching her humans for affection. She plays with some toys, but ignores the other dogs in the home. She is very food motivated and gobbles up her food each meal. As far as housetraining she is doing much better, she knows if she is ‘good girl’ outside she gets a treat. Pepsi is currently in the Lansing MI area.
