“What is that?!” was the question everyone at the shelter asked when poor Max came in. The vet who saw him speculated that he was possibly a Shar Pei. Not that Max is healing, we can see that he is a little Pit Bull baby.

Max had a very severe case of demodex mange, commonly called “puppy mange”. It happens mostly to puppies raised in unsanitary, unhealthy conditions. Once they get in a good environment and kept on good food, their immune system can take over and help them heal.
