My name is Krysta. Most people mistake me for a greyhound, though I am a Russian breed called a borzoi that is in the same family.   According to my DNA test I am also part mastiff — if you can believe it.  When I was growing up I wasn’t able to go to new places and meet new people so because of that I can be quite shy and timid at first.

When I finally get to go to my new home I will need a few days to get used to being in a new place but I just need some patience and love and after about a week I will be asking for snuggles and pets and will want to always lay next to you.

I love other medium to large dogs and I love to play tug-o-war with toys with them or I will get a toy and race around the yard with it and play with just the toy.  I love to run and I love to run and I love to run.  My breed type is a sighthound and so my instinct is to chase little creatures if I see them and so I may get lost if let off leash. Because of this, I will need to go to a home with a fully fenced in yard and not one of those underground ones.

I have not met any cats yet but my sister was in a foster home with cats and she didn’t bother them at all so it is possible I could live with cats.

I am fully house trained and walk nicely on a leash (though in the past when I’ve been in a really scary place I’ve tried to run away). I’ve been crate trained before, but don’t necessarily need to be as I behave very well when my humans are gone and just sleep and relax until they come back. All in all I’m a great doggy and just need some time to get to know you to show it!

I really am a borzoi and bull mastiff mix.  A dna test was donated so I was checked out.
