Sammich left us in Feb 2019. Many thanks to his foster family for making his last time memorable, and loving him dearly…

Sammich is a senior Yorkshire terrier who was found as a stray. He struggled to gain weight, then became severely ill with a kidney infection. After treating that, bladder stones were found and the doctor told us he would need surgery to remove them, as well as a special diet. We expect his costs and surgery reach at least $1800. This may seem like a lot of money to spend on a senior dog, but we can’t just stop treating him now when he is otherwise healthy and treatable.  Plus Sammich is one of the sweetest, happiest dogs we have fostered. He spends his days snuggling with his foster mom, and despite his health, is always eager to go for a walk.
