Kewpie came to APB in April from Ingham County Animal Control as he needed urgent medical care. It turns out he had severe demodectic mange, corneal ulcers due to dry eye, and a heart condition. The poor little guy was really suffering and itching! He has since been treated for all conditions and is looking and acting much better!  He still needs to grow some more hair back and needs to be neutered before being adopted out.  He will need Tacrolimus eye drops and heart meds (Lasix and Vetmedin) for the rest of his life.  They are not real expensive and he is very good about taking them. Kewpie is a sweet dog who loves people and other dogs, especially his foster brother (Kiwi) who came in with him. They both had mange, but Kiwi's wasn't nearly as severe. He would love to have a forever home who would cuddle him - he loves belly rubs- and keep up with his meds. He will repay you with unending love and affection! UPDATE: It is with a very broken heart that I announce that Kewpie had to be euthanized after spending three days in intensive care at MSU's Small Animal Clinic.  Please help if you can with his extensive medical costs.
