Max is a young 49 pound Treeing Walker Coonhound who is around 27″ tall, like a beagle on stilts.

Max is looking for an inside home where he will be loved. He enjoys his ear rubs and to be petted after playing. He quickly sits on his own when you have food or a treat for him and takes them politely out of your hand.

Max needs someone that can throw a ball and play with him a couple times a day as he has a lot of energy. He would also do well as a walking, jogging, or running partner.

Max also needs a nice yard with a 4’ high fence where he can run and play. Max gets along well with most dogs and does best with ones that love to play and play. He is still learning not to jump up or rough play and would do best with older children.

Max was found running as a stray, but must have had obedience training in the past as he knows Sit, Down, Kennel, and Heel. Max is crate trained, house trained, and learns very quickly. He does well in his crate and will run to it at night to sleep, especially if he sees you with a treat. He is a very sweet boy and will make a great companion for the right family.
