Jimmy is a man of action!  He does not stop moving, playing, chasing, wrestling…you get the idea.  He is by far the most active Pug (and one of the most active dogs) his foster parents have ever met.  That said, he has  been diagnosed with a congenital defect in both elbows, and there is no cure for this condition aside from complete joint replacement.  We are working to find the best medication to keep him pain-free and also working to reduce/maintain his weight.  It is likely that Jimmy could lose the use of one or both front legs during his lifetime, so we now consider him a "special needs" dog.  Adopters with previous Pug experience are preferred, and he must have air conditioning in his home (no smokers, please).  Jimmy is a bit of “door dodger” and must have a securely fenced yard.  He needs another little dog his own size who is equally active yet even tempered to play with.  He is rough with dogs that are larger than he is, so he can’t go  to a home with larger dogs. Jimmy is crate trained but not housebroken (he marks).  Jimmy is sweet, adorable, funny, and impossibly cute.  If you are interested in this special little guy, please contact lisa@schnauzerama.org for more information.
