Weight:
90 pounds
Foster home: Christine H.
85-16

Barley is a very active dog who loves to run in the fenced yard at his foster home. He loves his people that he knows and enjoys playing with toys and chewing on bones. Barley can be quite stubborn and strong-willed, yet he is a bit fearful of strangers and new people. Therefore, Barley is recommended for adopters who have experience with positive reinforcement based training and who are physically capable of managing a very strong 90 pound dog! Because of Barley's strength and energy level, a physically fenced yard is a firm requirement for his adoptive home.

Barley generally gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and with new dogs that he meets. However, he guards food and toys from other dogs, so he needs to be carefully managed around other dogs, especially males. Barley ignores the cats in his foster home, and is expected to do well with cats in his new family.

Barley is well house trained and almost never has accidents in the house. He is crated during the day and would likely do well loose in the house if he is the only dog in the home.
