I am a large but happy girl! My foster mom says it is quite something to watch me get the “zoomies” as I take off running around the yard. This is so much fun to do especially if another dog is chasing me! When I am not romping with other dogs, I find doggie toys and pick them up and shake them and throw them in the air and then pounce on them. And sometimes I look for my foster mom so that I can get hugs and pets because I am quite affectionate.
When I am done playing either with myself or the other dogs or my foster mom, I like to relax and just watch things.
Don’t worry though. I am not overactive and once I come in the house, I just lay around. I sometimes go in my open crate to take a nap. I am housetrained and possibly don’t even need to be crated but I like my crate so I gladly go in there.
I get along great with other dogs as long as they are not too little. I can’t really be trusted with really small dogs because my foster mom says I have a “prey drive.” I would likely not be good with cats either.
I walk pretty good on a leash — although I need a little more work on not pulling — and I have the stamina to keep up with you if you like to take long walks. I like to ride in the car so I am happy to join you when you can take me along. So far I have really liked everyone I meet. I may be too big for really small children but I am not afraid of them and I like the attention they give me at adoption events.
We will require either a physically fenced yard for Dot or else a home where she can have plenty of exercise walking.
