Over the years we have taken in many blind dogs. Most of them learn their new residence fairly quickly and often is surprising how well they get around.
While Charlie is very unsure in new places and timid with new people, he is an extremely loving dog when he gets to know someone and he has been a joy to work with. He learned soon where a crate was and he prefers to nap in one — he possibly feels safe in his “house”.
Charlie plays with doggie toys and other dogs but he has a bit of a prey drive so he is not safe with small dogs.
